Who runs 15dollarsanhour.com?

My name is Mark Wilson and I am 20 years old. I am the founder and also do everything involved with the running and maintaining of the site.

Why did you start the site?

I started the site because I realized that I didn’t want the life of my parents. (work 40 hours a week for life and still have to worry about money) I know that there has to be a better, easier, more efficient way to make money. This site is the documentation of my journey to do just that.

Why $15/hour?

I figured that $15/hour is a good place to aim. Since my goal is $15/hour every hour of every day I thought that $15/hour was a pretty realistic place to start.

Are you afraid of people copying the idea for your site?

Afraid? No. I realize that when someone has a really good idea there are bound to be people that will copy it to try to cash in on it for themselves. However, it rarely works in their favor and for the most part it will benefit the original owner if people do try to copy it. (MillionDollarHomepage is a great example of a good idea that people will never copy with the same performance as the original)

What qualifications do you have?

This is where a lot of people will discredit my site. I graduated from high school in 2006 and have no further formal schooling. I have spent nearly 2 years trying to find a way to make money in the quantities that I think that my time is worth. This has included reading many books, countless articles and going through many business schemes. However this brings up another point to the reason I created this site, I don’t believe that education has to directly affect ones wages. I don’t think that getting a degree necessarily warrants a higher paycheck. I do realize that there are many careers that do require specialized education (I don’t want an uneducated person performing brain surgery on me for example) but I believe that you can succeed without  necessarily getting a degree or diploma etc..

I don’t agree with X and Y of  “such and such” post?

And? This website is about MY experiences with certain jobs, businesses or other ideas about how to make money. I write about what my experiences are, good, bad, or indifferent. If you really don’t like something I have said, write me an email and tell me what you think I have missed and I might just see your point of view and change my outlook on something but don’t get you hopes up because usually I have done my research and know what I am talking about.

Can I send you my “super awesome” business idea to make lots of money?

If you describe your idea as “super awesome” then probably not, but I do encourage people to send in their ideas for me to try out. The only thing I ask is, if there is a fee for your idea then either don’t bother sending it to me or send me a free version (fully functional please) because I’m not here to pay you, I am here to review and possibly implement sound business plans. If your idea that had a fee and is an actual good idea I will not only be happy to pay the fee but you will also get the free advertising of my review on this site.
